I’m Dessa, a creative designer, storyteller, and artist with a passion for transforming ideas into visual experiences that resonate. I hold a Bachelor’s in Art Practice from UC Berkeley and a Master’s in Product and Service Design from La Sapienza University of Rome—where my journey in design evolved from pure art to strategic innovation.

In 2023, I founded Dessa Atma Studio, a design studio dedicated to crafting authentic visual identities and compelling branding experiences. My approach merges storytelling with design, building narratives that not only captivate but also connect on a deeper level. Each project is an opportunity to explore, experiment, and push creative boundaries, whether it’s through identity systems, branding, or digital experiences.

In addition to my studio, I’m the Creative Designer at Expressmed Partners, where I contribute to a dynamic team creating thoughtful, impactful designs for healthcare. In 2024, I launched the Create Newsletter a publication that houses all the works published in a single month for Expressmed Partners. Shortly after, I developed the Create Internship Program—a platform to mentor emerging designers and cultivate a community of creative thinkers. Managing the Create interns has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, as it allows me to shape the next generation of design talent while staying inspired by their fresh perspectives.
